Australia Crest

On 18th January 1977, 83 people lost their lives and 213 people were injured when a train jumped the tracks coming into Granville station in Sydney's West.

The train slammed into the supports of the Bold Street bridge and brought down some 170 tons of concrete and steel directly onto the third and fourth carriages of the train.
