Underarm Incident
Australia Crest

On the 1st February, 1981, Trevor Chappell was ordered by his captain, brother Greg, to bowl the last ball of the one-day match underarm to ensure victory for Australia over New Zealand. The Kiwis were therefore denied the chance to hit a 6 and save the game.

Australian cricket and the Chappells felt the wrath of cricket fans the world over.
