Good looking singer son of the legendary Jimmy Barnes, however, gathering a huge following for himself in a big way.

David went to Ross Smith High School in Adelaide where a performing arts unit has been named in his honour.

In November 1998 he was awarded as NSW's Young Australian of the Year for the Arts.

Born in Adelaide, the 25 year old singer has adopted a New York accent to help him through his busy schedule in the American cabaret scene at venues such as Rainbow and Stars in Manhattan.

In 1998 Campbell starred in the Australian production of Les Miserables and performed for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh at the Royal Gala in London.

Campbell recently won the Medibank Private Arts Award for his extraordinary achievements in the entertainment industry.

David also performed with his father before the crowd at the 1998 Rugby League Grand Final at the Sydney Football Stadium. Barnsey also joined David in song in New York.

David won a Mo for his acting in Les Miserables. He also was New York's Male Vocalist of the Year in the Bistro Awards.

David won the Arts Award as part of the 1999 Young Australian of the Year Awards.

He recently shared the stage with Liza Minnelli at the MAC awards (Manhattan Association of Clubs).

David is about to change his style from cabaret to pop/rock - watch out Jimmy Barnes.

His agent is Les Solomon.
