Minister of religion born in Germany in 1912 and moving to England in the 1930s.

Brasch was rabbi at synagogues in London and Dublin before moving to Australia in the late 40s. From 1949 to 1979 he was chief rabbi at the temple Emanuel in Sydney.

Besides religious publications he is well known for his refernce books on the origins of customs - How Did It Begin, How Did Sports Begin and How Did Sex Begin.
