Lee Troop
Australia Crest

Potential marathon runner with the Road Runner tattooed on his arm.

On 25th February, 1999, Lee broke a 33 year old world record set by Ron Clarke in Stockholm, when he finished second to Kenyan Luke Kipkosgei in a 5000 metres race in Melbourne. Troop clocked 13 minutes 14.82 to beat Clarke's 13:16.6.

Lee has set his sights on running in the London marathon on April 17th and hopefully will go one better than his coach Steve Moneghetti who finished second in that race.

Lee runs more than 200km a week in training.
