Champion wicket-keeper and batsman, known as Iron Gloves, born in Perth, W.A. on Remembrance Day, the 11th of November, 1947. possibly 4th november

Until recently he was Australia's most successful Test wicket-keeper. In his illustrious career he had 355 dismissals, 343 catches, 12 stumpings and 3 centuries in his 97 Tests.

At time of writing he was head coach at the Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy.
