Born in Sydney on 2nd November, 1877.

He became Australia's first superstar cricketer displaying fancy footwork and an impeccable eye. Trumper was idolised by his peers, feared by his opponents and revered by the public.

Averaging 39.05 he made 8 Test centuries and 3,163 runs.

His premature death at 39 from Bright's disease in 1915 caused national mourning.
