Tennis player on the verge of greatness, born in Melbourne on November 7th, 1976.

Mark, who plays right handed, turned pro in 1994 and reached his first Grand Slam Final in 1998 when he lost to fellow Aussie Patrick Rafter in the US Open.

Mark's strength in his game is his serve, which has been timed at 142 mph or 228 km/h.

Other career highlights are Memphis winner, Scottsdale, Munich, Queens winner in 1997 and Toulouse winner in 1996.

For the girls, Mark is 6'4" or 1.94m and weighs 202 lbs or 92 kg.

Mark finished 1998 at no. 15 in the world and with $1.2 million in prizemoney for the year.

In March, 1999, Mark beat newly crowned no.1 in the world Carlos Moya, in the final of the Champions Cup in Indian Wells, U.S.A. This is Mark's biggest win by far. He won 5-7,6-4,6-4,4-6,6-2.
