All round entertainer from Perth, Western Australia, born on March 30th, 1930.

As a youngster Rolf was a champion backstroke swimmer, being Australian junior champion.

Rolf went to England at age 22 and debuted on TV in 1954 as a storyteller using cartoons to emphasise the stories.

Rolf had a huge hit song Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport, which he wrote. Other hits included Sunarise, Two Little Boys and Jake The Peg.

A few years ago he had a giant hit with a wobbleboard version of the Led Zeppelin classic Stairway to Heaven.
